The climbing wall was set up in 1994 as the Lake District's first dedicated indoor climbing facility, comprising over 400 square metres of climbing surface. It boasts a large array of wall types: flat panels with 25 fixed ropes, a 22 metre long bouldering/leading wall of Entreprises imprint panels and a superb modern curvy resin bouldering wall by King Kong Climbing Walls which is heavily featured as well as having bolt-on holds. 2001 saw the construction of a 12 metre high tower on which we run abseiling sessions. It is available for group hire for climbing and abseiling as long as your group has a suitably qualified instructor.
